This is what I was working on last night, a cowl/collar for my mom. It’s a bit tight and short on me because it’s made to fit her, and she has a smaller head and neck than I do. But it’s a really stretchy pattern, which is why I can get it on at all. I have enough yarn leftover that I might make myself one too, to replace the ratty old green one I have been using (I made it out of very cheap acrylic/wool yarn, $4 a ball at Michael’s, this yarn is silk/wool and was $11 a skein). She wanted it because she saw me wearing the ratty old one and decided it would be perfect for when she goes for motorcycle rides. Silk and wool should make a very warm blend, and it’s very pretty to boot.
Now I have to get started on the big wrap she wanted me to make. *siiiiiiigh* I never get to knit for myself, because of all the demands I get from her! ;D Just kidding.
