Well, despite Ohio’s best attempts at SNOWPOCALYPSE 2011, I have survived the past two days, and have EVEN GOTTEN A DOLL.
No pictures of her yet, as she is currently wigless, eyeless, and sporting a chip in one of her legs (I am going to send a message to the company about that tonight to see if I can get a replacement), and despite the fact that I adore her I know most of you would find her creepy. My coworkers sure did.
The only reason my coworkers saw her at all was because I had to pick the box up and then go straight to work this morning, and while I intended to wait until I got home, I just got too excited and ended up opening her at lunch. And she is GORGEOUS (aside from the wigless/eyeless part). She was a little Christmas present to myself, she’s much smaller than Lae, which is perfect because she’s a fairy (both the doll as designed and the character) so she’s perfectly proportionate to him for that. I can’t wait until she has eyes and hair, she is going to be so lovely. ❤
She’s a bit of a minx, that one. True to fairy form, she’s mischievous and capricious, although rarely does she have truly malignant intent. Just likes her pranks and changeable as the tides. She has informed me that while I may call her Ivy in general, she has a set of names she goes by, which change on any given day (today she preferred Lily). She will answer to Ivy, but once I call her that she will correct me with whatever today’s name is. XD Whether I actually bother with calling her that is an entirely different story, of course (Lae makes an effort, I don’t really care).
Whenever I find the right wig, she’s going to have blonde hair and lavender eyes. And rest assured, the first picture will go here when she’s done. ;D
